Message:Great memories of my brother who I seem to miss more with time. What would his kids have been like and would they have grown up with their cousins close by like Taryn, Shelley, Hayley, Kyle Johnny( his namesake), Alan and Bryony? Years of waste and so I cried the day my great brother died. When all was said and done what did he die for?

Message:Thanks for sharing your research with us. You have a fascinating story here, very well-assembled. Your research references are very professional and a generous help to those of us just stumbling around looking through obscurity for a clear path that will connect to a real place in history. It is all much fun! I am seeking t background of Thomas Whitfield of Falfield, miller, whose daughter, Emily, born in 1825 in Stone, married Thomas Watts 22 April 1842 in Bristol.

Message:Greetings, This web site is very interesting. Looking for connections to Whitfields that settled in or near Ottawa, Canada. My grandfather was Frederick Ernest Bannister Whitfield who would have come to Canada in about 1935 or so. I believe we are connected to a GGG or GG Grandfather, Frederick Whitfield who wrote hymns, at least one of which is in the Anglican Hymn book (752)
Thanks

Message:Born in County Durham, UK, looking into the Heraldic side of things as I now have my first born Monty. Saw these entries and was curiously interested about the origins of the name and getting to know a little about the wider and extended family.
