I can trace back Robrt the Chaplain in the 1130's Northumberland,U.K. I also trace my mom's side back to Scotland around 1045 AD. I love family histories and that's how I found this site. As far as my recent Whitfield lineage is concerned: my great-grandfather was Allen Whitfield (b.1904 d.1984); my grandfather is Harley Allen Whitfield (b.1930); my father is Harley Allen Whitfield Jr. (b.1956) and, like it says above, I am Michael Harley Whitfield (b.1985).
Most of my immediate family lives here in Iowa, but I'm sure that the family tree has branches all over the place...
Just glad to know that I may not be the only one who has a coat-of-arms hanging on their wall which has a gold stag's head perched atop the crest & Medio Tutissimus Ibis written below the shield  |
